Covid-19 Update Tuesday, 1st December

As required by SA Health The Arkaba Medical Centre has a Covid-Safe Plan.

This plan outlines the need for our clinic to implement a contact tracing system.

Upon arrival at reception, all patients will be required to scan our Covid-Safe Check In QR Code using their smartphone camera. You will be required to enter your full name and contact details.

Our team of patient concierge will be able to provide assistance in doing so.

If you do not have a smartphone (i.e. iPhone), please let reception know so that we can use a manual check in system.

As of 1st December 2020, everyone entering the Arkaba Medical Centre is required to wear a face mask, with the exception of children under 12 and people with genuine breathing difficulties.

It is a requirement of SA Health that surgical face mask be worn by everyone in the clinic. You will be provided with one on arrival. Cloth masks do not meet the required standard.

We also continue to ask that patients do not present in the clinic if they are experiencing any cold or flu symptoms (i.e. cough, fever, sore throat, runny nose).

Patients who present with these symptoms will not be seen in clinic and will, instead, be offered a Telehealth or will be asked to provide a negative Covid-19 test result before presenting in the clinic again.

We work closely with the Adelaide Central Respiratory Clinic, who have been established to provide Covid testing and symptomatic treatment.

If you are experiencing cold and flu symptoms, please visit their website for assessment prior to presenting at Arkaba Medical Centre.

As always, we thank you for your understanding in these unprecedented times.
