Covid-19 Update Tuesday, 12th January

As of the 23rd December 2020, it is no longer mandatory for patients to wear a face mask in the clinic.

It is a requirement from SA Health that we perform appropriate contract tracing for persons entering the building. This can be done digitally via a smartphone using our QR code, or manually by providing us with a contact number.

While we have been somewhat fortunate that the risk of community transmission of Covid-19 in South Australia has greatly reduced, we must not become complacent.

We ask that patients experiencing cold or flu symptoms, shortness of breath or fever to refrain from entering the clinic unless you have obtained a negative Covid result in the last two weeks.

The Arkaba Medical Centre strongly recommends all persons experiencing such symptoms be tested for Covid-19.

We work closely with the Adelaide Central Respiratory Clinic to provide Covid-19 testing for persons experiencing symptoms. For appointments with the Adelaide Central Respiratory Clinic, visit the website here.

If you are experiencing respiratory symptoms, please contact our Patient Concierge team on 8373 0888 to discuss appointment options.

On behalf of the Arkaba Medical Centre, we thank you for your continued effort in measures of infection control. We have done well but we still have a ways to go.
