The best care

As part of Arkaba Medical Centre's commitment to patient preventative care, we provide an immunisation service that includes childhood, travel, seasonal (flu) and employment vaccinations (hepatitis B, tetanus, etc).

Vaccinations protect you and your family against harmful infections or diseases. It works by using your body’s natural defence mechanism – your immune system – to build up your resistance to specific infections.

A vaccine is a very small dose of the weakened or dead bacteria/virus. Vaccines take around 2 weeks to work. We have to give some vaccines several times to build long lasting protection.

Please call to book with reception for 2,4,6,12, 18 month and 4 year old immunisations as they will require a combined Nurse and Doctor's Appointment.
